In my new media class we had to post two entries a week, and were given a list of blogs to get ideas and material from…I was never told I had to and I honestly thought if it was posted somewhere online or found in google images, I had free reign to use it however I wanted.

How to Maintain Your Skillz in the “Real World”
There are a lot of skills that may be hard to focus on when your path has completely changed, and I’m referring to everything from time management to people skills. I came up with some tips for maintaining certain skills you worked so hard to hone in college (or were honing without even thinking about) that may suffer in your transition into the “real world.”
How to Get Your Start in Social Media in 5 Steps
Recently Simon Kirk of Techies Give Back asked me to speak with his friend, Robert Sullivan, about breaking into social media, particularly within the publishing world. The conversation spawned this blog entry.
Internship Wrap Up: Flavorpill
This week was my last as an intern at Flavorpill. This was the most spur of the moment internship I’ve ever had. Story? I’m interning at Gawker one day when I get my daily Flavorpill newsletter (I’ve been receiving for about 3 years). I saw that they were looking for interns in their New York [...]

Illinois Concert
So it all started with: and wanting to work there. Through them I found these guys: This awesome band, Illinois. Who inspired me to make this for them: Which I subsequently sent to the singer, Chris Archibald, letting him know I wanted to intern for his label, Acefu. He responded and let me know that [...]
Early week 6 Post! Stellastarr* show!
\\::Stellastarr* show ::// I arrived at the venue, the Highline Ballroom about 6:30. It’s a great venue. Mid-sized, with bars on either side and space to sit down and eat dinner on the floor and balcony. Arthur, the drummer of Stella found me and showed me around the merch, then brought me upstairs to the [...]
